Thelisha Eaddy is a reporter and producer for South Carolina Public Radio. Her coverage of day-to-day news in the Midlands and Pee Dee regions of the state has included long-term recovery of the 2015, 2016 and 2018 flooding events; 2018 midterm elections, the inauguration of current Governor Henry McMaster and the campaign trail leading to the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary. Thelisha also serves as fill-in, local news host during NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered on South Carolina Public Radio. Thelisha’s reports have been heard on NPR newscasts; WNYC's Takeaway: Politics with Amy Walter; the PBS NewsHour Politics Monday; Iowa Public Radio's River to River; and WGBH's local newscast.
Thelisha's broadcasting career spans more than 20 years. Her first job was a part time news reporter for her hometown radio station, WTUA 106.1 FM. She also served her local community by publishing a weekly community newspaper called TCV news. She covered high school sports, community events, church programs and produced a children's activity page insert. Thelisha continues to connect communities with local news and resources. She previously hosted a weekly community affairs radio programming, The Sunday Urban Scene and independently continues to interview local news makers and share their stories on social media.
